Residents urged to be cautious near Wythall ford as more heavy rain expected

FIREFIGHTERS have been called out to four seperate incidents on a Wythall road in just a few days as motorists have become stuck in a ford because of heavy rain fall.
Firefighters were called out for the forth time to Houndsfield Lane on Sunday morning, at approximately 9.27am, to reports that two adults and two children were stuck in a car in the ford.
A crew from Redditch and a crew from Evesham went to deal with the incident, but found that the car?s occupants had got to safety by the time they arrived.
A fire service spokesman said: ?This is the fourth time we have been called out here in just a matter of days. With more heavy rain expected, we urge people to be particularly cautious in the area.?
