Sony has confirmed that its two PlayStation-certified Tablets will be rolled out in shops starting this month.

First up is the Sony Tablet S, a single-screen device featuring a 9.4 inch touchscreen display with 1GB RAM, up to 32G storage, infra-red remote control, Wi-Fi and optional 3D support. The Wi-Fi edition will launch at some point this month, while the 3G model will release in November.

Sony says this device is ?optimised for rich media entertainment,? and has confirmed it?ll ship in three models, the cheapest of which will cost ?399 (16GB plus Wi-Fi support).

Next up is the Sony Tablet P, which is ?geared for mobile communication and entertainment? and will arrive in November for ?499. The Tablet P boasts a folding design, dual 5.5 inch touchscreen displays, 512MB RAM, 4GB of on-board storage, Wi-Fi/3G functionality, and folds neatly into a pocket-friendly 79x180x26mm.

Of course, being PlayStation-certified, this means consumers are legally able to download PSOne titles, as well as games from the Android Market. In addition to software, the Tablets also allow access to TV, movie and music content via the Video Unlimited and Music Unlimited services.
